Continuous Wave Pulse (CW Pulse™)
CW Pulse™ is cutting-edge CW diode technology. Each pulse emitted by Soprano®XL actually incorporates two discrete, yet overlapping pulses:
- The first is a low-energy long pulse that safely heats the hair, but not to the point of thermal destruction.
- The second, overlapping pulse is also a low-energy pulse, but combined with the first provides the right amount of power to destroy just the hair and the surrounding cells responsible for regrowth.
- Because the other parts of the skin that absorb 810-nm light have a lower heat capacity (and therefore cool much more quickly), neither pulse--nor the combination--heats these components to the point of damage.
- The result is less pain, less damage to the surrounding skin and effective elimination of unwanted hair.
